Since the new version of Configuration Manager, Forefront Endpoint Protection has become a full class citizen of Configuration Manager 2012 and has been renamed to System Center 2012 Endpoint Protection. In an earlier blog I already wrote about the functionality, in this blog I will mention all the out of the box policy templates that come with Endpoint Protection 2012 and how to import them.

With the release of Configuration Manager 2012 Release Candidate, Microsoft also integrated System Center Endpoint Protection (was Forefront Endpoint Protection) with Configuration Manager 2012. Very welcome enhancements if you ask me, let’s see how this works. Wally Mead showed us the feature last week, let’s see I remembered everything correctly ;)

It is a very nice day, afterI found out earlier today that the Configuration Manager P2V Migration Toolkit was  released earlier this week, just a minute ago the news came that also the Configuration Manager 2012 and Forefront Endpoint Protection RC versions are released! (thanks Kent!)

Day two at the Microsoft Management Summit started with the Keynote of Brad Anderson, the corporate vice president of the Management and Security Division at Microsoft. This Keynote was about “You. Empowered By The Cloud”, giving the vision of Microsoft about the Public and Private Cloud. During the Keynote some nice announcements were made.
