Back home, recovered from the little jetlag and the very intensive week I will give with this blog a small insight in my second half of the week in Las Vegas. If we follow the rumors, the Microsoft Management Summit 2013 in this form will most likely not exist next year, but there will be some kind of MMS 2014 community event for sure. In what form and organized by who? Time will tell.

AprThe last couple of days where enormous, the Microsoft Management Summit feels bigger than the years before. 5200 people are attending the Summit, which started this year on Sunday with a preconference by for instance 1E that organized a workshop around their Nomad product, also other sponsors had sessions.

AprThe day after tomorrow I will be leaving for the Microsoft Management Summit 2013 that will be held in Las Vegas. It is going to be a packed week with lots of learning and networking opportunities. As always I will give you an insight in mu schedule for the week. This year the event will start on Sunday and it will end at Friday at around noon.

MarWhile the Microsoft Management Summit 2013 in Las Vegas is close to getting sold out the session list is full of ConfigMgr related stuff. Have a look at the list and be sure to be there at the community event of the year! Like every year top class speakers from the community, like for instance Microsoft MVP’s, and from Microsoft presenting nice breakout sessions for the attendees. There are currently 54 (out of 161) breakout sessions ConfigMgr 2012 related, lot’s to learn!

In less than a week the event of the year will be held in Las Vegas. Yes it is time to attend the Microsoft Management Summit 2012 again. Next week will be packed with very interesting System Center related breakout sessions, exams, meetings and network events. Like last year there are to many interesting sessions and so little time to attend them all. So I had to make a selection again, which is subject to change

The release of our book Mastering System Center 2012 Configuration Manager comes closer and closer. Just after the Microsoft Management Summit 2012 in Las Vegas, early May, the book will be available on Amazon and in the shops.
Today I found out that the table of contents and the index of the book is also available for download. After the sneakpreview of Chapter 3 and Chapter 7 you are able to see the rest of the contents before you (pre) order the book Also check out the great sessions presented by some of the authors.

DecNext year from 16th of April until the 20th of April, the most important System Center related Microsoft event is scheduled in Las Vegas, the Microsoft Management Summit 2012. As an active member of the Configuration Manager 2012 Community Evaluation Program I yesterday won a ticket for The Event of 2012.

A week full of the Microsoft Management Summit in Las Vegas learned me that this is the event of the year to attend for people that work daily with products from the System Center Suite. This is the only event in the world where the most engineers and product/program managers are together and available to answer your questions and to give feedback to about the System Center products. More than 4000 people from all over the world attended more than 157 technical System Center related sessions presented by Microsoft, MVP’s or partners of Microsoft. MarDay three of the Management Summit started again with a Keynote of Brad Anderson, vice president of Microsoft. The Keynote was about “You. Empowered to Embrace Consumerization”, how the user can get access to their application. It doesn’t matter if the application is used on the “primary device”, a non trusted workstation or a VDI Desktop delivered by XenDesktop and Hyper-V (with dynamic memory). For SCCM 2012 can handle all deployment types go give the user very where the same application. During the same keynote, the public release of Beta2 of System Center Configuration Manager was announced.

MarDay two at the Microsoft Management Summit started with the Keynote of Brad Anderson, the corporate vice president of the Management and Security Division at Microsoft. This Keynote was about “You. Empowered By The Cloud”, giving the vision of Microsoft about the Public and Private Cloud. During the Keynote some nice announcements were made.
